Re: Slow speed after huge update....

@Anonymous

Have you tried using a monitor such as DSLstats (http://dslstats.me.uk/) to monitor your connection and collect evidence of the degradation. This software needs a Broadcom modem chipset. I believe that it will work on a Plusnet Hub 1.

I have a Hub 2 but keep an old BT Echolife HG612, which I have unlocked for the purpose. If I need to use it, it is a simple task to plug it in and connect it to the Hub 2 WAN input, hence by passing the Hub 2 modem.

@JahPete

Have you looked at the following to see what speeds should be available.

@bmc The OP is reporting a deterioration in speed, caused, I strongly suspect, by external factors - he knows what his circuit is capable of.

@Baldrick1

You need to use http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/RouterStatsHub/routerstatshub.htm for the Hub One, nothing else will work with it.

Re: Slow speed after huge update....

Well, I chose to do nothing and wait & see... And, the speeds (up & down) are back to their usual marks....  I'll keep an eye on them and report back if they drop off again.... Thanks for all the helpful posts and advice....

Cheers, Pete.
