Slow new connection

Existing customer but new address. Was given an estimated speed of between 1-2.5 MBs, but speed isn't even getting to 1. When changing address was told could have fibre only to find out there's no room on exchange yet 😞.
I have tried different micro filters. master box with built in filter. Different hub. But every speed test I try I'm only getting 0.69 MBs.
Any help please?
Thanks in advance

Hi Rob20236,

I can see that you have raised a fault for this issue yesterday and it has now been passed to the relevant team to investigate further. All updates will be available on ticket reference https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=129094520 and you should have a response with in the next 48-72 hours.

Re: Slow new connection

Thanks for reply.
One further question if I may.
When I put in for change of address I was originally told I could get fibre here. Then found there was no room on exchange (I think it was put).
How do I go about finding about when or if I will be able to get fibre?
Thanks again in advance

Re: Slow new connection

The official* source of what type of broadband you can get is from here http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/

Just enter your phone number.

You will just have to check this page, probably daily until it shows that fibre is available. Plusnet get their data from the same source and have no other information.

* This is the source for all non Virgin and other cable operators.

Re: Slow new connection

Thanks. Tried that link but that only shows DSL availability.
I did find this site that says fibre is available to my number, but was told the same when I changed address. But when he tried to order it there was no room. Maybe now line is on maybe worth trying again.
Thanks again
Oh that link for anyone else wanting to see if they can get fibre.

Re: Slow new connection

Had line check done today then a message saying fault is fixed. Yet I'm still getting exactly same speed. 0.69 MbPs.
Am I looking at hardware fault? Even though I've tried 2 different routers and 4 different micro filters?
