Re: Slow broadband speed

Cool, your connection is still stable and hasn't dropped out, so far so good. If everything is OK on your line overnight we can look at SNR resetting your line which will resolve your speed profile.

Re: Slow broadband speed

I've been keeping an eye on your connection today and as a result I've done a SNR reset.
Hopefully this will sort the speed profile out, it can take up-to 24 hours, but normally you'll see a difference within 4 hours.
Let's hope it works, let me know how you go.

Re: Slow broadband speed

Still 444kpbs but I will wait until 5 pm when I get home tonight and check then, I have done a restart within my router at 7 am this morning to see if that made a difference and it hasn't just yet, will keep you posted Chris.

Re: Slow broadband speed

To be clear are you talking about Upstream or Downstream speed there? Is that sync speed or throughput speed?
Can you check your Current Line speed (Login required)?

Re: Slow broadband speed

That Current Line speed will be the cause of the low throughput. Can you post your current modem/router stats as you can't run the BT Speedtester to show your current BT IP profile?

Re: Slow broadband speed

Yes, that's it. There should be a BT IP profile of 9.00Mb/s for that sync speed and the Current Line speed should match it. These haven't been updating correctly for everyone. I'd ring up the CSC 0800-432-0200 and ask them to set the Current Line speed to 9.00Mbp/s to match the current BT IP profile.
