Slow broadband after BT line problem

We had some problems with our BT line at the weekend, we lose the dialing tone and if the number was called from a mobile we heard a ringing tone on the mobile but the house phone didn't actually ring. BT fixed the problem pretty quicky, but now our broadband speed is screwed.
The sync speed is showing as 2816 kbps on the modem/router admin page (Netgear DG634G). However the IP profile on the BT speed test and the current line speed on the Plusnet page are both showing 250.
Is this likely to be a consequence of the line problems, and it's for some reason defaulted to the lowest speed? If so, will it recover by itself over the next few days or do I need to get someone to kick it?
Cheers
Neil

Re: Slow broadband after BT line problem

Hi there,
Yep, it's a result of the line issues, and should clear after 72 hours of stable connection at a higher speed.

Thanks for the reply!
The BT IP profile has now reverted back to 2000, is it possible to get the plusnet one updated?
