Slow Wireless Upload Speed

Hi,
I've only recently got my Plusnet Broadband going (went live on Friday)
My problem is this, whilst my download speed is 6 meg + my upload speed is only 20 - 50kbps -scarcely faster than dial up 🙂
I have done some things already to test it, but I am really confused what the problem could be.
When connected to the Thomson router via cable, the upload speed 350 - 380 kbps so I'm pretty sure it's not a line problem.
I have tried changing the wireless channel to most combo's but this doesn't seem to make anything better.
I know that it's still early days, and the line may be balancing, but this speed on wireless does seem pitifully slow.
Any helpful suggestions?

If the router is the TG585V8 I'd suggest trying it with the wireless set to 'g' only (switch OFF the 'n' option), 'n' does not seem very well implemented in this router, it played havoc with my XBox 'n' adaptor but worked just fine after 'n' was switched off.  As it's new the firmware should be current but do check that also just in case.

This is a problem reported by a number of people using the Thomson TG585v8 (running the latest firmware).  See http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,92497.0.html/ .  Plusnet have never managed to reproduce the problem themselves so it remains unsolved.  I'm afraid your only solution is to buy yourself a better router than the "free" one Plusnet supplies.
