@JAB @alfie00  Upon testing the broadband the copper line test failed for the following reason;

 

"Test Result: Fail - Fault located at customer apparatus  (appointment required) Description: FAULT - Loop (Rectified)"

 

 

The copper line test failure will account for all the issues described. Have you been able to test the phone on its own, do you have 1 to try?

@James30 Thanks. It will be interesting to see what an engineer finds, and actually where. IF @alfie00 is connected to an old style master socket via a rats-tail filter, I suppose that could have failed, but if he plugs a phone into the TEST socket and hears noise on the line...
