Re: Signature Limits

I don't think it will be you - at 1024x768 your signature fits in four lines.

Re: Signature Limits

Definitely not yours - here it is at the minimum width for the forum - it won't go narrower without introducing a horizontal slide bar

Re: Signature Limits

I prefer my negative characters - they eat some letters from the next post rather than my own. Wink

You may note some odd typos in my posts as my brain works quicker than my fingers a lot of the time.

Re: Signature Limits

Yes, well spotted.
I am due to go back to the opticians and will be asking to have the lens prescription in my glasses upgraded to match that of my contact lenses which I don't have in at the moment.

Re: Signature Limits

A few people now are using their signatures to pass comment on the new products. There are no rules about this and you are entitled to your opinion but the way to express you opinion is by starting a thread or posting in a existing thread.
Is it right to put what is your opinion in the signature so we all get blasted with it several times a day it is in effect posting  multiple post espressing your opinion ?
Taking a softly softly approach would people with these sorts of comments think about forcing their opinion onto everyone else several times a day?
I will leave it for common sense to prevail

Re: Signature Limits

Barry - I think that you are being very lenient on the miscreants. I find all these personal opinions that people constantly add to their signature very annoying and should be banned.
They just distract the reader from the reply itself, spoil the flow of the thread and take up too much space.
Also, how many times do we have to read whether folk believe this or that (and does everyone want to know anyway)?
It is total overkill and entirely unnecessary!

Re: Signature Limits

There is a "Don't show users' signatures." setting on the Look and Layout Preferences page.
Signatures are the place to express personal opinions, and make comments. The rules don't prevent this at it would be a form of censorship.
