Should my ADSL 21CN Connection be quicker?

Hi All,
I've been really happy with the ping and speed of my connection, but I just checked my modem (Draytek Vigor 120) and the sync speed appears to be higher than the IP Profile I've got.
Details below:
My Modem: In the attached image, but in short, SNR 5, Loop Att. 31, Downlink 16056125, Uplink 1192000,
BT Speedtest
Download speedachieved during the test was - 13.57 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 14.16 Mbps
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 1Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP Profile for your line is - 0.83 Mbps

And then from PlusNet:
Postcode:
Phone exchange:CHURCHDOWN
Estimated line speed:8Mb (This may vary between 5.5Mb and 12.5Mb)  - Checked on 2013-04-10 12:42:24
Current line speed:14.1 Mb

Re: Should my ADSL 21CN Connection be quicker?

The IP profile on 21CN is set to 88.2% of the sync speed, so the IP profile will always be lower than the sync speed. The IP profile takes into account most of the overheads of the ATM layer (the A in PPPoA), so it should be closer to representing the speed you can transfer useful data over the connection.

As above post says, your IP profile is spot on for the sync speed and the PN speed is set to match this too. All is well with the world. Well, it is in Churchdown anyway!
