Sevice Cutoffs

Hi, I'm having a problem at the moment that i hope you all can shed some light on. I'm getting approximately 12-20 cutoffs a day and i'm wondering what the cause is.
I've reinstalled the modem software (USR 9105) and am still having the problem.
I don't know if it's equipment, software, BT's line or Plusnet. If anyone has any ideas i'd love to hear them.
I live in Fishguard in the far west of Wales so if anyone knows of any faults in the pipeline on the way down to me then please shout out.
I don't think it's Plusnet's problem however as a neighbour over the road (With AOL) is having the same problem.

Have you checked
http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
to see if there is a problem with your local exchange - if your neighbour with a different ISP is having problems, it is more likely to be a problem at that end rather than your end I would have thought.

Re: Sevice Cutoffs

Hi there,
Whilst the chances are likely that it was an exchane problem, just in case it isn't we'd need you to run a couple of checks for us.
- Try using a different filter
- Make sure you're connected to your master socket via a filter
- Try using a different modem or router if possible
If you're still having problems after, then raise a fault by going to http://faults.plus.net

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll try all the above and get back to you with the results.
