I've just received an email that was sent by a ccgi server on 4th December! Any one else seen anything like this?

I wonder if this is related to This post
Nothing on Service Status that would indicate maintenance work on the ccgi servers though.  Any PN comments?

Re: Seriously delayed email from ccgi (over two months)

I've just found two more sent on the same day at 12:27 and 18:14
The common factor is that they have all come from ccgi03

Possible if that server was restarted and it picked up whatever queue they were stuck on as a result. Two were received at 3:48 and one at 3:49.

Re: Seriously delayed email from ccgi (over two months)

Hi Jelv,
I reported the outage which ended at the same time that you got your old emails.
It would seem long odds that they were not related incidents. Still no word from any PlustNet staff on either topic.

Bear in mind that the comms team (who monitor the forums on behalf of PN) don't always work weekends.

Re: Seriously delayed email from ccgi (over two months)

Barry,
I suppose that I was partly referring to the Service Status messeges.
Something obviously happened early this morning with the ccgi server(s) but there is no indication of this in the service status - even though it has definitely affected people.
I myself had two "PAD Robot Error Notice" emails during that period whereby shareware sites could not access the pad file information about my software. I also had no downloads of my software during that period, since even my homepages site depends on the ccgi server as we are not allowed to use PHP on the homepages.
If I did not keep very good hit statistics, I would not have known what went wrong.

It does sound too connected to not be!
I can't access any details, but I would like to see this investigated tomorrow and appropriate action taken to stop such things happening.

Re: Seriously delayed email from ccgi (over two months)

Another email sent from ccgi03 at 18:14 on 4th December has come to light (not sent to me but it bounced back to me, hence the delay in finding it). Delivery was attempted 09 Feb 2008 03:49:26.

The delivery times from these emails coincide almost exactly with when the servers were rebooted following this problem.
I shall ensure someone does a bit of digging but I think it's fair at this point to assume that the reported incidents are all related.
