I have the above TV connected to Plusnet via the Technicolour router, problem is it drops the connection every so often.
I have the IP/DNS settings set to 'get automatically' but have also tried this as a fixed setting. The TV's had a new motherboard and wireless controller to try and solve the issue but it keeps happening.
Every other device remains connected without issue... Should mention it's connected wirelessly.
Any help/tips/advice welcome.
Cheers
C

Welcome to the Forums!
When the TV drops connection do all other devices (laptops, pcs, smartphones, etc) connecting via wireless drop connection as well?

I've got a Samsung F6200 connected by ethernet -- no problems.
Also my son has a Samsung connected by ethernet via a pair of homeplugs -- again no problems.
If the tv and router are too far apart to run a cable, then a pair of homeplugs may prove more reliable than wireless.

I'd advise trying "home plugs" and plugging the television into the plug - I have had zero issues since doing this with my Samsung (PS60F5500). The other bonus is that streaming video via DNLA over wireless resulted in being unable to fast forward or rewind films but through the network connection and homeplug this functionality has returned.
I've probably streamed a solid 10-12 hours of video and music through the TG-582n and homeplug combination without a problem.

You spend 5 minute writing a reply, with interruption, only to find someone's beat you by 2 minutes.

Is your router set to a fixed (manual) WiFi channel or is it set to auto? I have experienced a Samsung printer not "following" a WiFi channel shift, with the consequence that sometimes it was on network and other times it was not. Since changing the WiFi channel to manual (fixed) I have not seen the issue again. I do wonder if Samsung have some issues with their WiFi drivers.
One good test which you could do is to ping the TV's IP address and see if you get a response.

Router is located too far to run an Ethernet cable unfortunately.
All other devices remain connected when the TV drops out. I'll try having a look at the router settings and see if that makes a difference.
I'm not aware of 'home-plugs' but will look into also.
Cheers

After 20+ years in IT I actually used a set a few weeks ago and have been more than impressed by them (for what they are).
A basic set will cost you around £30 for a half decent pair - get the ones with passthrough mains plugs to save tying up a socket and don't use them on surge protector extension leads.
Plug one into the mains socket your router is plugged into, plug your router into the homeplug mains. Plug an ethernet cable between the homeplug and your router.
At your television end, plug your homeplug into the mains socket, plug your television into the homeplug mains, plug an ethernet cable between the television and homeplug.
Job done (some homeplugs may require syncing to each other the first time).
My wireless at home achieves between 18 and 35Mb download speeds, the homeplugs I use (BT 500) get me the full 60+Mb/s from the router. I had a play trying to max them out the other day but this laptop only has a 100Mb network card in and I got the full 11MB/s download through the plugs to my server.
