Sagecom f@st 2704n monitoring software

Hi,
I have the bog standard plusnet router, which I believe is a Sagecom f@st 2704n. I was just wondering if anyone had got any monitoring tools to work with this router.

Re: Sagecom f@st 2704n monitoring software

I don't think anyone has got RouterStats or any of the other programs to work. A couple of people did make their own scripts, so the data is available.
There are two different pages that could be used, the helpdesk page, and the statsadsl.html page from the http://192.168.1.254/expert_user.html menu. I don't have a 2704n. I'm not sure of which part of trying to configure RouterStats doesn't work, either the logging in, or the finding the stats in the HTML pages. If it's the logging in that doesn't work, then there may not be much that can be done about that. If it's the finding the numbers part, there's those "Use source A" and "Use source B" checkboxes, or you could look in Firefox -> Tools -> Web Developer -> Network while you've got the stats page open in Firefox, and seeing if there's any other URLs that are accessed to read the stats.

Re: Sagecom f@st 2704n monitoring software

I've got a 2704N but it's not currently in service.  It seems to me that it should work using the http://192.168.1.254/statsadsl.html URL, however when I tried this Routerstats wouldn't load the page, giving an error ..
Quote
<i>RouterStats</i> has been unable to establish a connection with the router's stats page. The most likely cause is the URL is incorrect.<p>Have you changed the router's default LAN IP address?<p><hr>Please ensure you can login and display your stats page using the Get Page  button before continuing.

Same error if I use http://192.168.1.2/expert_user.html and I think it must be something to do with the login process, because on the login page it also says the password is wrong.  On the other hand it will correctly retrieve the home page if you just enter the URL http://192.168.1.254
So there may be a way, but I haven't found it right off the bat.

Re: Sagecom f@st 2704n monitoring software

The scripts people made have a way to log in, I don't know if it could be entered into RouterStats somehow, or if RouterStats would store the cookie needed:
