Becase I suspected 'piggybacking' I changed Wi Fi settings including the SSID on my laptop.
Problem is I can't connect my tablet as it asks for a password. The Thomson router does not give a password for the SSID.
I can only solve the problem by reverting to the former SSID. How do I find the password?
Jim

Which it will do as it thinks it's a different network. Your laptop should have done the same.
Quote The Thomson router does not give a password for the SSID.
There is no separate password for the SSID. It's just your normal WiFi password which, if you have not changed that, is written underneath your router.
If you suspect "piggybacking", then changing the SSID without changing the WiFi password will not help as they can just login to the new SSID with the same password.
