Re: SNR and Interleaving

Hi Alex,
They were performed over ethernet. The speed seems to be jumping around a lot. One minute it's at 2Mb, then 6Mb, then 2Mb then 4Mb. I don't really know what's going on? It started when Adam increased my profile at PlusNet's side.

Re: SNR and Interleaving

There's no technical reason why this is happening.  It could just be a temporary capacity issue at your exchange.  Please monitor your speeds over the course of today and let us know if the problem continues.

Hi Alex,
The throughout is back to normal at the moment. Let's hope it stays that way!

Re: SNR and Interleaving

I raised a ticket and support said they would reset my SNR. Nothing has happened. Could this be looked at?

Re: SNR and Interleaving

Hi sjrinfroyle,
We're exceptionally busy on the digital care team today so I'll need to ask for your patience here. Someone in the CSC will reply to your ticket eventually.
Thanks.

Re: SNR and Interleaving

I have got a response. I was originally told it would take 10 minutes, now I am being told it will take up to 72 hours? I don't need anybody to check this, I would just like a definitive answer on how long it should take.
Thanks.

Re: SNR and Interleaving

In a way both are correct, the reset itself takes a few minutes but it can then take a further 72 hours for the IP profile to increase.

Re: SNR and Interleaving

Ok, but my SNR doesn't seem to have decreased at all:
Stats:
                        Down            Up
SNR (dB):        14.6            23.0
Attn(dB):          49.0            22.0
Pwr(dBm):        19.6            11.9

Re: SNR and Interleaving

It's now been over 24 hours. I understand that it takes three days for the speed to increase, but the SNR doesn't seem to have reset, so there will be no speed increase as the speed hasn't changed.
