SNR Reset

Ticket Number :-  ID: 27886238
Been trying to get my SNR reset, as plus.net support have said they will, however after a couple of "Yes we will action this", over the last few days, its clear this has not been actioned. Can somebody here please do what they have to do, to get things done.
Much Appreciated.
Dave

Re: SNR Reset

It's actually clear that the request has been actioned Wink
We have asked BT to make the change to your target SNR, but they appear to be dragging their feet.
What did you actually want your target SNR resetting to?

Re: SNR Reset

Lowest possible, 6dB, monitored connection over the last 24Hrs, and loss overnight was less than 1dB.

Re: SNR Reset

Thanks.
I've called BT and asked them to action the request.
We should find out later on today if they've done it this time!

Re: SNR Reset

I can get that turned off easily enough.
BT are normally more willing to make SNR changes when there's already interleaving turned on.

Re: SNR Reset

My Target SNR has been at 9dB since May '08.  Despite Plusnet having it reduced back to 6dB shortly after, it reverted to 9dB again about 5 days later, and there it has stayed.
Is it possible to have it re-set back to 6dB, and have it 'hard-pinned' there?  I know the connection can be stable, as I have used DMT before to gain 6dB artificially.

Re: SNR Reset

Nope - DLM would move it back up again if it detected instability.

James,
You wrote: "BT are normally more willing to make SNR changes when there's already interleaving turned on."
Probably best to leave the interleaving on for now then, and see how well the SNR reset goes.
