SNR Reset ?

Having had an incredibly noisy phone line for the last week an OpenReach engineer came out and found a fault in the dropwire from the telegraph pole,   That fixed the phone is now crystal clear but the broadband is incredibly slow...... he mentioned something about an SNR reset but I have no idea what that is ?

Re: SNR Reset ?

Looks like you've been put on a banded profile, or a fixed rate. 2272 downstream with such a high SNR margin would almost certainly have been caused by the (now fixed) phone line fault.
The DCT (staff who monitor the forums) will be around in the morning (usually working 09:00-17:30 Mon-Fri) and should request the necessary SNR reset, which sets your line back to the default settings, allowing it to retrain to the best possible downstream for the length/condition of the line.

Re: SNR Reset ?

I've requested an SNR reset and replied to your ticket.
