SNR Margin Reset Request...Please

Hi,
For a long time now we always had a default SNR margin of  6db. However, a few days ago it raised itself to 9db. Undecided The difference in sync speed from 6db to 9db is really big for us because we live far from the telephone exchange. Please can Plusnet manually reset our SNR margin back to 6db, as it was before? Kindest regards.

Re: SNR Margin Reset Request...Please

It looks like the Target SNR is set to 6dB
Quote
6dB Downstream, UC No delay (INP 0) 6dB Upstream (ADSL2+)

However, your line is currently banded at 1M-2M and seems to be dropping quite a bit:

Also seems to have a few errors -
Mean Time Between Errors Downstream (Seconds): 4
Errored Seconds:  90
I'll remove the banding from the line, however this is not likely to address the underlying issue, if DLM increases the SNR again/re-applies banding, I'd recommend raising a fault.

Re: SNR Margin Reset Request...Please

Thanks Harry for looking into that, and thanks also for removing the banding on our line.
The disconnects are from our end, we had to disconnect the router once a day while we were painting in the room where the router was connected. Now though we shouldn't need to disconnect the router anymore, so hopefully our line can stay un-banded. Many thanks & kindest regards.

Re: SNR Margin Reset Request...Please

I think the number of disconnects shown on the graph was not enough to cause any issue with the DLM. Far too many errors though.
