Quote from: Barry I missed this thread, but wouldn't a Max Premium upgrade be a more cost-effective solution to at least get you to an 832k upstream?

Quote from: fcel Hi Gentlemen.
We're currently on Max Premium with an 832k upstream
Sorry...I lied. We are on Business Premier but it's the same sort of thing, up to 8Mb downstream, up to 832k upstream with business class prioritising

We'll upgrade you to IPStream Max Prem for an additional £8 per month.
Drop me a PM if that's something that you'll be interested in.

Rather than looking at bonding - how about a couple of lines and load balancing them.
Bonding is good if one particular connection needs as much speed as possible. Load balancing works if theres several users wanting a connection, but you need more overall total bandwidth.
Much easier and cheaper to set up?

But seriously all suggestions are appreciated. We do have another BT line possibly available. Load balancing would require specialised hardware?

Quote In keeping with this thread...thanks for the suggestion.
I think something just went over my head then.. or I missed something?
I was just trying to throw a cheaper option, since fcel said "Currently the £ sign is king"
Quote Load balancing would require specialised hardware?
Yes but so would bonding.
You can though if you wish use software such as pfsense (free BSD) on an old box rather than purchasing a specialised router.
Theres a post here from a neighbour of mine whose tried both bonding and load balancing on his own lines which compares the 2 methods.

This is a speedtest he did after load balancing 2 lines using pfsense
Between the 2 of us - we could practically max out Be's backhaul from our exchange.
