Re: Routerstats Lite/Full

Well if I'm going to succeed at that, it might help to know what a TDR test actually is?

Re: Routerstats Lite/Full

Time Domain Reflectometer test. Essential the kit sends a pulse up the line and you should get a reflection from anywhere that there is a joint that is not as good as it should be. All Openreach engineers should have the kit to do it. These days I think they exclusively use JDSUs. The Hawk tester was the magic box previously used and it was a damned good bit of kit.

That was the piece of kit I saw both engineers using.

I've not heard of them in years!!!! You used to be able to find them on Ebay on occasion (back when was but a young fault agent).

But obviously no improvement to the errors yet! Huh

Don't be daft - that would involve Openreach actually fixing something!  Wink
An engineer is coming out to me tomorrow afternoon - should be interesting.

Perhaps you should. I might just get this fixed if you do.

Well still no engineer and I'm now going out so complete waste of my time - not of course Tony's fault.

Re: Routerstats Lite/Full

BT apparently got in touch to say the engineer wouldn't make it due to being held up on another job. Unfortunately Tony was off yesterday and no-one else at PlusNet took charge of it.
