Router seems ok but signal is awful

Support are currently 'monitoring the line' here, but said they can already see lots of drop outs since Saturday.

All lights on the router are green and the broadband speeds are usually very good. Since the weekend however it's simply woefull. I've replaced the micro filter on the off chance it may have been that... however no such luck.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this or any remedies?

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your connection.

Our tests aren't showing any obvious cause but I can see the connection is dropping alot.

Do you have another router to test at all?

Sadly not. I'd fork out for one as it's affecting my ability to work, however I fear it may be a waste of cash.

Re: Router seems ok but signal is awful

I'd probably recommend getting in touch with our Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 (Selecting Option 1 then Option 2) to see if we can provide you with a replacement as part of a new contract/possibly cheaper monthly deal too.

At the time of writing this, there is no wait time to get through to them and they are here until 8pm.

Anoush.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Router seems ok but signal is awful

Is connection wired or wireless?
If wireless try changing channel for one less busy in your location;
use an app such as inSSIDer.
