Router making a strange Modem sound.

             The router you provided is making an odd sound. Would you be able to replace it?

Is it a Hub One? Unfortunately some of these hubs do this and Plusnet will not replace it. You can quieten most of  them by switching off the 5GHz band.

So, they used to replace them, but no longer do. What causes it?

It can be caused by wound components but more likely electrostatic movement of capacitor windings / plates in capacitors. I assume that one or other is being excited at a sub harmonic resonant frequency of the data rate.
