Router lights

I have just bought a new router an On Networks 97 N300. In the manual it says that one of the green lights will flash whenever stuff is downloading but all the lights stay on all the time! It works perfectly well. My old router (a Thompson supplied by PlusNet) always had lights flashing but then it broke!! Any comments to satisfy my curiosity would be gratefully received.

If it works and the lights don't flash then the manual is wrong 
Just ignore this deficiency and get on with life!

It might be referring to the wireless light.
If it works don't change aanything as it could then become not working

Thanks to you both; I wouldn't/couldn't make any changes; as I said, just curious.
