Router connects again after manual disconnect

Hi all
On the homepage of the router (TG582n), I clicked on 'Disconnect' which worked fine, After about 10-15 mins, I noticed I was re-connected again. Is there a way for the router not to connect unless I do it myself ?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Router connects again after manual disconnect

Hi Cagney1994,
This shouldn't happen. If you click 'Disconnect' the router should stay disconnected. It may have just been a one-off. If it continues to happen let us know and we can investigate this further.

Re: Router connects again after manual disconnect

Hi guys.
Sorry to bump up this thread but going back what I mentioned in the OP; it seems all one has to do to reconnect, is to switch off the router and then back on again. Can anyone confirm if this is a normal action for the router in question ?

Re: Router connects again after manual disconnect

Hi Cagney1994,
As far as we're aware if you've clicked "disconnect" and then turned the router off it shouldn't try to re-connect when you turn it back on again. Does this happen every time that you do this?
