I hope you can help me.
We usually have no problems with the internet, but I work late at the moment, and today some websites were being very slow to load, plus a few other unconnected issues.
I decided I would check and make sure no one else was using our wireless signal, and tried to log into the router. unfortunately, it would not recognise the login details, and after reading through your help section, I went for a hard reset. No problem, logged into the router to set up connection.
Now, the internet is working as before (still very slow upload speed) but I cannot get the router login screen to load (it just cycles forever on the the address), I just wanted to see if the firmware update could be applied to the router/change passwords.
Now, the original issue (upload speed):
Currently our speed is:
Download Speed
6.15 Mbps (thats fine)
Upload Speed
0.38 Mbps (not fine)
I have read about caps and such, has ours been capped?
So, after reading all that could you guys possibly help me out by:
Updating the firmware if it needs it?
Checking if a cap has been applied to upload speed?
Advising me how to get router login back (I've tried wired/wireless, different browser and device).
Many thanks,
Gareth.

Quote from: spoon What does http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome say for the fastest download speed available to you? If it is ADSL Max that is limited to the speed you are seeing unless you pay an extra £7.83 per month for Max Premium. If it is WBC ADSL 2+ then you can ask for your line to be uncapped at no cost.
According to that site:
WBC ADSL 2+ Up to 7.5 -- 6.5 to 8.5 Available
WBC ADSL 2+ Annex M Up to 7.5 Up to 1 6.5 to 8.5 Available
ADSL Max Up to 4.5 -- 3 to 7.5 Available
