Hello guys I will be getting Plusnet Fibre soon and wanted to know how long the power cable and ethernet cables were. I want the router and modem installed above a mirror which is above the master socket if that makes sense. So the difference between the master socket and where I want the modem installed will be around 1.70m.

The BT guy used the same power supply for the new router as the old modem/router (same make of devices).
It was less than 1.7m though - perhaps 1.2m.
BT modem sits next to the router.
For me, I have them both sitting on a shelf.

I'd advise installing a twin power socket somewhere suitable beforehand. Also get a 2-metre ADSL cable - I think the supplied one with the modem is 1.5m. Remember you will have the supplied power cables then trailing in a wierd and wonderful display of ugliness.
The router can be up to 100 metres away from the modem. As you might need to connect wired to it at some time in the future, it sounds like a quite inconvenient place to mount it. Though I suppose you could move it for testing if necessary.
PS - what a strange idea
