Router Speed???

I have connected my computer up wireless and getting speed of about 45mb download and hard wired in i am getting around 60mb. my computer is right next to the router so is it the wireless router that is letting me down would i be better of getting a bt home hub for example

May sound a silly question , but if PC is next to router why use wifi ?Huh

It's about 10 ft away and easier to do wifi with the kids, wifi is n and up to 300mb

If it's a PC in a fixed position I'd use homeplugs rather than wifi - 200mbs pairs are now under £20.

If it is the PN supplied router, then yes you would be much better with a HH.
If you look you will see LOTS of threads about users who have wifi issues with these routers.
