Is there anyway I can recover my router login or password as I can't remember the details I entered when I first joined.
I want to use the DMT.exe program which I use to tweak my settings but uninstalled it when getting rid of a lot of programs on my PC.
I've now got the DMT program back again and it prompts you to enter your router login and password.

Invariably the way out of this problem is to press the reset button at the back of the router to wipe out all its configuration. Then you will need to manually re-enter your login details and can set a new password. Default passwords are either blank, "password", "admin", or provided in the router documentation.
If you are running a netgear and have a backup of its configuration, then open it with a text editor and you should see something like this:
Hope this helps next time.

Hope this helps next time.
