Returning problem causing bad speeds

Hi

We've been having an issue with the plusnet equipment at the exchange not automaticaly changing the noise margin for some time and have had to phone up to get it set manually.

Due to plusnet not taking calls today i can't phone up and get my broadband fixed to stop my connection dropping out.

This equipment is putting noise on the line causing the connection to drop frequently and often results in a 76kbps upload speed.

Previous tickets can be viewed for reference.

If some one could manually set the noise margin that would be great.

But to be honest you need to get the equipement replaced.

Thanks.

Hi @florence2

Sorry to hear about problems with your connection. I can see that line is stable again and that profile was not changed in meantime, SNR target is same as it was 14 days ago. Just in case I have sent request to pin SNR so it should not change in future.

I can see that you've raised fault ticket on your account, we will retest this line to check if this will work.

Re: Returning problem causing bad speeds

@florence2 for reference Plusnet does not have equipment in exchanges as they use the BT infrastructure.

Re: Returning problem causing bad speeds

That is not what i was told by a BT engineer.

I've had many visit the house and they have all checked the line and it is 100% ok and always state it's plusnets equipment and they can do nothing.

Re: Returning problem causing bad speeds

Issue has returned again lastnight.

current upload is 69kbps and the line has gone noisey.

Noise margins need resetting again.

I will put in a new ticket.
