Today getting a massive increase of returned emails from addresses that I have not posted to. Is there a general increase on other peoples email accounts? Is plusnet under another attack on their email server or is it just me?
This is called Backscatter. It is when a spammer users your email address to send out their spam. All the undeliverables then get sent to you. It usually dies down after a short time. Phil
