Restricting Router - Help please

Hi all,
I am having problems through the night with my kids on games consoles etc.  Can anyone tell me if it's possible for me to put a restriction on the router so it shuts off between 12am and 7am please?
Thank you

Hey,
I am sorry to have to say this but we don't have anyway of supporting the option you are wanting.
There is software available out there, and I am sure if you keep checking this thread  the guys in the forums will offer some advice on other options available to you.

Re: Restricting Router - Help please

Assuming that they are connecting via wireless - this will do it on the TG582n

A thought - you may need to update the firmware to : 10.2.2.B but as I don't have the earlier one I can't check

Re: Restricting Router - Help please

Or again with the TG582n on 10.2.2.B firmware, look at this - http://192.168.1.254/device_tod.lp?be=0&l0=4&l1=1
This page will allow you to restrict access time device by device without shutting down WiFI for everyone.
WARNING it is not unheard of smart kids resetting the router back to default setting using a paper clip in the back of the router!  Roll_eyes  See http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,134934.msg1182490.html#msg1182490

See my other posting on providing a wireless "guest access" using Devolo kit.
With the Dlan 500 wireless access you can set dates, times, special SSID  and keep them off the main LAN.

For the ease of access here is the link http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,135700.msg1189113.html#msg1189113
Devolo are indeed excellent units, however it should noted that some home plugs have been known to create interference with ADSL.  Personally I have not seen this with Devolo units.
