Can someone kindly rest my SNR to 6db up an down. For some reason they are set 8 down and 10 up which is very odd.
Thanks

The target SNR is definitely 6db, it goes in 3db steps so 8 isn't one we can choose. The SNR will fluctuate around the margin and that's completely normal.

That's really odd because it's 8db on boot up and stays solid at 8db same as up is set to 10db so something is not right. And it's the same on what ever router I try.

I spent ages on the phone trying to sort out this merry go round. The agent claims there is no banding on my line yet others say there is. He insisted they do not disconnect when testing the line when Ii said they do. This is what is on the ticket.
"account holder called to ask what his snr margin is and to ask about the dropouts which i have explained this will be down to the testing thats going on
Kind regards,"
It's like banging your head against a brick wall. All I want is the banding removed and my SNR back to what it always has been.

Your line *is* banded.
Your target SNR is 6db.
WBC 7M - 14M Medium delay (INP 1) 6dB Downstream, UC Medium delay (INP 2) 6dB Upstream (ADSL2+)
The testing would only cause a single drop (normally around 3 minutes) at the point we run it, they wouldn't cause the other drops showing:

Thank you Chris. I know what the other drops where. As I explained it was due to DNS server problems and me trying to solve it. All back to normal now thanks
