Request to reset connection speed

My ADSL connection speed used to be just above 7,000 kbps which meant I could get download speeds of around 5.5 Mbps.

After a period of noise on the line (it happens every few months but usually clears after a few days or a week or so) the connection speed is now stuck on 4,475 kbps even though the noise on the line cleared up two or three weeks ago. Rebooting the modem doesn't help. My download line speed is currently around 3.7 Mbps.

Any chance the Plusnet techies can put the speed back up again?

The connection speed is now 7,374 kbps, however, the download speed is still stuck on 3.7 Mbps.

What determines the download speed? How can I get it back to the normal 5.5 - 6 Mbps?

Can you reboot your router letting us know how your speed looks afterwards?

I've made a change to the speed profile on your account to reflect the increase in your sync speed.
