Re: Request to Plusnet

Thank you for changing it but my line has now become unstable. I have had three disconnects since it was turned off. Sorry to be a pain but could I have it turned back on please.  Embarrassed

Has that stabilised things again? I'm certainly hoping so. Please let us know if not.

Re: Request to Plusnet

It seems to be better. Wont be sure until I play some Battlefield.
Unfortunately another issue has arisen. Since the interleaving was turned off on Monday till today with it back on I have had a significant decrease in line speed (which I expected with it set to off but it hasn't got faster again) as can be seen by my results below:
Date                                                            Download Speed                                                Upload Speed
Today 12:38                                                    2972 kbps (372kB/s)                                   370 kbps (46.3kB/s) (Interleaving back on)

Yesterday 13:39                                           2618 kbps (327kB/s)                                   374 kbps (46.8kB/s)
Monday 12:32                                           3005 kbps (376kB/s)                                   382 kbps (47.8kB/s)
Monday 11:54                                           2441 kbps (305kB/s)                                   377 kbps (47.1kB/s)
Monday 04:01                                           2923 kbps (365kB/s)                                   324 kbps (40.5kB/s) (Interleaving Turned off)

Re: Request to Plusnet

Still experiencing slower speeds than before interleaving was turned off and then back on again. My speed before was around 3808 kbps but now it's only around 2400 kbps.  Cry Knew I shouldn't have messed around.

Re: Request to Plusnet

Hmmm, it seems you've synced at 2838 which will be what's caused the profile drop. Are you still in sync at that speed now? If so any time between now and about 3pm would be ideal to reboot your router as interference seems slightly less when the sun is high in the sky. If it doesn't increase let us know as while it is this low there's a lower threshold breach showing (2838 is below your current fault threshold rate; the reason I'm reluctant to raise that now without an attempt to sync at a faster speed is in part because it's most likely down to a blip that shouldn't be present any more and also because it's likely that in order to fix an SNR recalculation will be done which might just lower the fault threshold, resulting in a much longer period at the slower speed).

Re: Request to Plusnet

I rebooted my router today, the speed is on the increase. Up to 3434 kbps today. I will keep an eye on it over the next few days. Thanks again
