Request Fast Path

Hi Plusnet Staff
Could you please request my downstream interleave to be switched off on a fast path please (for online gaming) as it showing interleave is ON at present on my router.
Thanks

Re: Request Fast Path

Thanks Chris. Can you check if my line is banded profile? At present I am getting 11.9Meg out of 12.6Meg on BT Speedtest. My router sync rate is 14315Kbps with snr 3dB. I think I had been connected for a week now.

Re: Request Fast Path

That sync speed will give an IP profile of 12,625kbps and a Plusnet profile of 12.6Mb/s so there is nothing wrong
Note that the IP profile is 88.2% of sync speed

Re: Request Fast Path

Thanks OldJim. I thought it should be 12.6Meg throughput. That's why I was wondering why is 11.9Meg.

Re: Request Fast Path

Speed tests never give full speed and from experience the difference you are seeing is a direct effect of how the Plusnet profile works
There was an explanation given some time ago but I didn't really understand it.
The effect I see is that you lose about the amount you are seeing
As an aside I know it is the Plusnet profile doing it as increasing it to higher than the BT value removes the loss

Re: Request Fast Path

How come this person got 11.8Meg throughput as his profile was 11.2Meg on this post number #12 with uncapped-upload.png here: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,120456.0.html

Re: Request Fast Path

I have absolutely no idea but sometimes the BT speedtest can give very odd results which can be down to the Internet Security package used - Kaspersky used to do that.

Thanks as it now showing as interleaving OFF. Can you check if my profile is banded and if DLM is on or off?

Your line isn't banded, and the line info can be seen above. DLM will be on but that's a good thing generally..
