Replacing VDSL + Technicolour with one unit

FTTC Internet stability over the past month or so as been a bit... problematic.  I suspect most of the problems are being caused by the Technicolour router (requiring frequent resets), and would like to replace this and the VDSL Openreach modem, perhaps with a Draytec 2860.  Is this possible ?
