Replacement BTO modem power adapter

Hi can some one on the DCT tell me is it possible to get a replacement power adapter for the BTO modem my sister brought her new dog around and it thought it was fun to pull on the wiring that was in the hall way one of which was the power adapter for the modem somehow it managed to snap it in half , I managed to find an adapter for something else i had that fitted and is around the same voltage requirements etc and it is powering the modem at the moment but i dont want to keep it that way just in case it's doing any damage to the modem also i  dont know if the modem was damaged from the pulling of the wiring it seems to working ok at the moment.
if it is possible to get one how much is it likely to cost.
the Adapter that is broken says Leader electronics Model number - MV12-Y120100-B2.

Re: Replacement BTO modem power adapter

As far as I'm aware, the only way to do that would be to arrange for an engineer visit to replace the modem/cables that are damaged.
If you'd like for us to arrange this, please raise a fault at http://faults.plus.net

Re: Replacement BTO modem power adapter

Have you considered grabbing one off eBay (with or without the actual BT Modem !) ?
Maybe cheaper than an engineer call if it is chargeable.

I would be surprised if there's no charge.

Re: Replacement BTO modem power adapter

As it's damage to BT Equipment, it would be considered a chargeable visit, which is £60.

Re: Replacement BTO modem power adapter

No problems, thought that might be the case to be honest.
