I actually did a speed test the day prior to the switch in contract. I was receiving slightly over 40mbps download. It dropped down to the 23, shown in the screenshot, on the day the new contract started.

I suggest you report a fault, as suggested previously Use this link: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/ and let us know the response. We can then advise further, if necessary.

@nick44 Hi there Nick,
Myself and @Marsh tested your line and found a problem that requires an engineer visit.
We did try to give you a quick call to get this visit booked in for you but were unable to reach you unfortunately. Apologies if we called at a bad time.
You've got a couple of options to get this sorted, @jab1 has already provided the link to our texting service which will be able to test the line and book an engineer visit for you. Alternatively you can give our tech team a quick call on 0330 1239 123 and they should be able to get this sorted for you too.
