Referrals payments - new system

I just received an email about referral payments headed "Important information regarding your referral payments" and saying in part

Quote

Recently we made some changes to the way we pay referrals bonus and monthly payments. Previously this was paid directly to your bank or to an active credit or debit card on your account. However, due to new banking rules, we have been forced to make many of these payments by cheque.

However nowhere in the email does it say what happens if the total referral payment is less than the monthly charge and is used to reduce the monthly charge.

Apologies for the confusion here.  I've got Matt posting a confirmation message in here shortly.
These changes/recommendations ONLY apply if:
- You are getting referrals on a free account.
- Your referrals are more in value than your subscription charges
