Hi guys,
We've started to see a lot of customers now reconnecting following the outage yesterday. If you are still unable to connect a manual reconnect will be required, I will explain below how to do this.
1. Open your web browser (This could be Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox, depending on your system).
2. Ignore the web page (or error message) that appears and enter the IP address of your router. This should be 192.168.1.254 unless you've changed it.

If you're asked to log in, enter the Router Username and Password (the username is usually 'admin' and the password is the router serial number, this starts with CP - note that admin is in lowercase and the serial number is in capitals).
3. You should now be able to see the main interface page of the Thompson router. It should look similar to the image below depending on which version of the router you may have.

4. Click 'connect' to restore your connection.
If you cannot see 'connect' try clicking 'home' on the left hand side menu.

Note: Most of our customers have found success is doing this but you may need to enter your username and password as this might be missing. When entering your username make sure you use @plusdsl.net after it. For example username@plusdsl.net
You should now be back online.

Attempting a Disconnect & then Connect (as you've displayed above) should always be be the first option.
Unfortunately there will be occasions when Routers lock up or the Disconnect/Connect doesn't work. If so, users on ADSL, especially longer and awkward lines on 20CN should login and "Disconnect" as above and then power down the Router for a time. Once the network is coming back to normal, after powering back up, when booting is complete, login and then click Connect (as shown above). ADSL users may find it better to do this in daylight hours when noise levels are generally lower.
