Really, really low speed!

Since sometime late last night my download speed fell to between 47-68kbs.
Previously I was getting 410kbs.
I ran the BT speed test and for the first time ever it actually worked (well almost).
It reported my max speed should be around 750k and then the following:
Exception::access denied gava.net.SocketPermission 217.32.105.42:50301 connect.
and hung at 86%.
Nothing has changed my end so what's happening?

Hi Keith,
What sort of speeds were you getting previously?
I've amended your profiling in line with the BT one of 750Kbps, ours was previously sat on 500Kbps.
You should notice a bit of an improvement after doing a reboot of your router.

As I mentioned in my post I was getting approx 410kbs.
I'll reboot my router and report back.

Hi Jameseh
A slight improvement. Download speed now hovers around the 87kbs mark.
BT speed test still reports the same Exception and hangs at 96%.
What I have noticed is that at the beginning of a download speed is approx
325kbs and over the course of 30sec falls to 87kbs. I can't say I noticed this
before but of course I hadn't previously paid much attention.
