I'm also unimpressed by the lack of a coherent response to my question on slow speeds and disconnections. In my case the question is #38001470. Basically, I'm waiting for Plusnet confirmation that they agree that I have a line problem before I contact the line provider (BT). Nearly two days have passed since I raised this.

Is it an audible problem that is still present when the router is disconnected? If so you don't need to wait for Plusnet to confirm.

But while your line continues to be noisy the speed could dive back down again at any time and there's nothing Plusnet could do to prevent it (other than putting you on a fixed rate 2MB connection).
