Lower sync than expected

I've just been checking and it doesn't seem to have taken effect yet. It can sometimes take a number of hours but for now we'll just have to be patient.

Just checked it now and it's gone to 4500 profile. You should be seeing that at your end now.

That's just great, Jojo.
Now syncing (since a little under 10 hours ago) at 5376 and, a 4500 profile.
Will keep an eye on stability but, hopefully, things will be OK.

For the last few days the sync has stayed at 5376.
I have just noticed that it is now 6144.
The strange thing is that if you look at the stats below there was no downtime in the WAN - is that normal?
A BT speed test confirms I am syncing at 6144.
I know I could get a profile of 5000 but I'd rather have 4500 if it were to become unstable at the higher sync.
Edit: Some time since posting the above and now (19:53) it re-synced again and is now at 5248. WAN is still not showing any down time.
Could a member of the team have a look at this tomorrow (Monday), please.

Hi Mav,
As well as your WAN report, I also cannot see any drops on our connection logs or a BT line test. A bit bizarre that! There was talk that on ADSL2+ it would be possible to change the sync rate without dropping the connection but until now I've not seen any evidence of that.

I'm on ADSL as the exchange is not ADSL2 enabled.
The sync has remained at 5248 with no drops. I'll see how it goes.

My connection seems to have been stable for the last two or three weeks with no re-syncs or disconnections that I could tell.
Within the last two hours or so my sync jumped up to 5920 but, as you can see from the screenshot below, there was no disconnection again when this happened.
What was even stranger was when I first viewed the stats the SNM was over 200000!
If I can keep that sync then my profile should go up to 5000 which would be great but I'm a bit concerned that I'll be losing stability especially with the SNM down to zero again.
No changes have been made to my system at all.
Any advice or help would be appreciated.

Ahh, I was wondering what was going on there as I was seeing 4500k but didn't notice it was kBps you posted as opposed to kbps.

Not sure if you misunderstood why I reported the above re-sync.
I'm not complaining about speed - in fact, over the last few weeks the speed has been good for my line.
I was just concerned as to why I could not see when the re-sync happened from my router and was wondering whether you can see it from your end.
Stability is also a worry since the SNR has frequently been down to zero again.
At the moment the sync is still 5920 and the SNR is 3.
Both BT's and PN's profiles are 4500.
