Yes you do, as the test socket is a normal BT style socket and your normal modem/router cable is not compatible.

Adam - sorry I'm going to a bit late with this, the morning didn't quite go as planned, but I will be connected to the test socket from 2.30pm.
Can you carry out the tests as soon as possible after that please, as I will have to return the setup to normal  - due to the position of my min phone socket and power points, leaving things set up that way for an extended time is not practical.

I've just performed the test, whilst this was completely worth doing the results didn't look any different I'm afraid.

As the disconnections don't usually cause me a problem, and speed is reasonable, I  think I'll just carry on for now -another 46 days and  I'm away for 3 weeks, so I'll 'suck it &  see'
