Re: Random disconnects, is my router breaking down?

Reading that log I'd say it is very, very likely that there is an idle timeout setting in your router. I think you need to check the manual/helpfiles for that - alternatively there may be someone who knows the router who may be able to point you in the right direction. Posting the exact model number may help us pin it down.

Re: Random disconnects, is my router breaking down?

Well a quick Google led me to find the user manual in which I found on page 33:
Quote
5. Disconnect after X...
The Disconnect feature is used to automatically disconnect the router from your ISP when there is no activity for a specified period of time. For instance, placing a checkmark next to this option and entering 5 into the minute field will cause the router to disconnect from the Internet after 5 minutes of no Internet activity. This option should be used if you pay for your Internet service by the minute.

Re: Random disconnects, is my router breaking down?

Thanks for that. I can see that on page 34 it shows the disconnect option in the screenshot.
I am currently at work but will check this evening.

Hi Jonny,
I would be very surprised if that does not fix your problem.
Let us know anyway Smiley
