Have been getting a few random disconnections over the last few weeks. Have replaced my ancient router with a new Netgear and all cables are also new, no effect. Router is connected to main BT socket, makes no difference whether I use the plug on the faceplate on the one under under it. Phone line seems unaffected with no noise on the line.
Has happened twice in the last hour. Router logs indicate :-

[DSL: Down] Sunday, October 06,2013 17:24:59
[DSL: Up] Sunday, October 06,2013 17:23:55
[DSL: Down] Sunday, October 06,2013 17:23:40
I have tried to go through the broadband troubleshooter a few times but keep getting an error page :-
Broadband Troubleshooter - Error
There's been a problem
We're sorry, but you can't use the Broadband Troubleshooter to report a fault on your service. Please contact our Support Team for help.
Hope you can help.
Cheers

Hi,
Have you noticed any correlation of the ADSL disconnects to in bound or out bound phone calls or for that matter with anything else being switched on / off? I have seen street lighting, power supplies to CCTV systems and passing electric trains all cause poor performance, line instability and disconnects.
Try following the guidance at the top of this forum (http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,96155.0.html) for slow speed issues. Use the PN broadband fault checker. If your phone line is provided by PlusNet they should be able to fault find on the basic line as well.
Posting your router stats here will inform people who can help how your circuit is performing.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

There's certainly something not right;

Can you try our faults wizard and let me know how you get on with it?
