something switched on for that period?
Again nothing for 14.25 on 25 july - almost identical graph to 20.45pm on 22July.
Maybe just try to leave it without a manual resync to see when/if the Rx drops back on its own.

Nothing switched on here during that period - I was laid in bed shivering/sweating.
I will leave it alone -going back to bed.

Looks like you had a loss of sync at about 1425/6 ish on the 25th (sync speed graph to match such incidents is always useful), probably the line going intermittent and the resync occurring whilst it was still bad (at slow speed) then the noise reducing so the SNRM then rises. Can you turn the Average SNRM plotting back on again as well, that's sometimes handy.
A "graceful disconnect & resync" might be the best thing (as mentioned in reply #70) when the noise is absent.

I really think it would be good to do a CLT asap, see if they can catch the line problem - what do you think?

Hopoefully your sync speed will have returned to near normal John, as the CLT is an intrusive test as you know, and gives a break in sync of just under 3 minutes (usually).

I will have post the speed logs from the laptop - hadn't noticed that somehow they had been deactivated on the desktop.
