Hello, My first post. I have a cheapy TP Link Modem http://www.tp-link.com/uk/products/productDetails.asp?class=adsl&pmodel=TD-W8951ND which has options for RIP on both the LAN and WAN sides. I've not got another router on the Lan side and I assume that you would not use RIP with a customers router. Would that be correct? The modem works fine and I get speeds within the estimate given (6.5 mbit d/l at best, 440is kbit u/l) It modulates g.dmt, I would have expected ADSL2+. Ross-on-Wye is a 21CN exchange and I am 0.5 km from it. I have a good filter (not the one that came with the modem) and the ring wire is disconnected. Regards Adam
