REIN problem back again :(

I think maybe the REIN problem I had with one of the neighbours is back again. It's not major atm but I have suffered a few disconnects lately and my FEC count is ridiculous Sad

Re: REIN problem back again :(

Oh no, I feel your pain. Sad
I had an issue that took nearly a 12 moth to sort out.
It was diagnosed as rein, and then shine, and then neither, and then the rein was found, and then it was discounted.
Eventually it turned out to be faulty cabling under ground!
Granted there is still a tiny amount of Rein on my line, but not enough to disconnect me or show much issue with the line speed.
Are you 100% sure it's a rein issue, or has it just been diagnosed as such by BTOR?

Re: REIN problem back again :(

@Devonian  When I first moved over to Plusnet last April I had problems which took almost 3 months to resolve Sad

I'm fairly certain this is a similar problem again, at about 12:15 hrs , lunchtime today, the interference dropped suggestion whatever is doing it was switched off. The graph I've added shows this clearly. The interference is still low so I'll be monitoring the line.
Uptill now I've not been having major disconnects or drops in speed but only time will tell. I'm posting now so that the Plusnet team are aware of whats going on if I need to open a ticket.

We're aware of this now.
If you raise a ticket, let us know the ticket number so we can track it with you.

Re: REIN problem back again :(

Hi Chris, thanks for your reply, I've got DSLstats running constantly atm. The FEC error rate is fairly low since they dropped the other day so hopefully it was just a one off, but I will raise a ticket if it starts becoming a problem.
Otherwise the line has been virtually perfect since you helped to solve it last time Smiley
