Quick Stats Request

Morning guys,
I was wondering if I could get a screen grab of my current line stats (sync speed / snr etc) and a radius graph for the past few days so I can compare before and after the boost engineer visit tomorrow please  Smiley
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hi Mark,
The modem stats you can obtain yourself from the router user interface.

Re: Quick Stats Request

Forgot to mention I'm on fibre so can't see my own stats Sad (unless I invest in an unlocked modem)

Re: Quick Stats Request

So the "boost" engineer attended, said there was no fault and left  Roll_eyes
I thought the point in getting a boost engineer rather than a normal fault? one was because there was no fault but the speeds are low. He didn't even bother checking any of the cabling from the house to the cab, I was under the impression that this is what a boost engineer is meant to do? Plusnet asked this on the ticket in the engineer notes but it looks like he's decided to completely ignore it.
Basically no further forward Sad what's the next step? How can we get an engineer out to actually check / replace the cabling? The last engineer mentioned there's something causing it on the d-side somewhere but a boost engineer would need to be booked to check it.
EDIT: Just to add, the engineer also told us that if we downgraded to the up to 40Mbps option we'd only get 20Mbps, which didn't strike me with confidence regarding anything else he was saying...

Re: Quick Stats Request

Morning Mark,
We'll have to wait to get the engineer notes back to see what he has concluded on the visit so you should see an update on the support ticket once that's been received and reviewed.
As the moving to the 40/20 service we offer, the engineer is incorrect. you would remain on the provisioned 80/20 but just have a cap applied on the download at 40mbps and have a change in price so no need to worry about this option  Wink

Re: Quick Stats Request

Cheers Adam, yeah I was aware of that I just didn't feel it was worth arguing with him, but pulled into question the fact he said there was no point in bothering to do the boost engineer stuff of tracing the cable back.
If we cant get OR to actually do what they've been asked I might have to just downgrade to that package Sad but time will tell I guess!

Re: Quick Stats Request

Hi there,
We've received the notes, however these do look like standard SFI checks were carried out from what I can see.
I'll do my best to get our faults team to pick this up again for you ASAP.

Re: Quick Stats Request

Thanks Adam, yeah they were but he never did any of the things that plusnet requested on the ticket, or any of the things I was led to believe a boost engineer is supposed to (check / replace all joints back to the cab etc)
