Question

When I first went onto Max some time ago I had a steady sinc speed of 8 meg for several months without any problems. Then for some unknown reason my sinc speed dropped to 7616 although my SNR remained at 13 and Att 24. I'm curious to know why with such good readings my sinc speed has remained at 7616.

Re: Question

Hi George,
I imagine that this is down to interleaving on your line.  Whilst your interleaving profile is set to auto, this could mean that BT are now applying interleaving to a higher level than they were previously.
If you believe that your line has been stable and that you would like to have interleaving removed, then I can do this for you, under the recommendation that this could introduce some level of intermittency should your line be susceptible.

Re: Question

Thanks for the reply James, I wondered if that was the case. As I doubt I would get any faster download speeds may just as well leave things as they are.
